Oud Beersel Brewery was lauded at the European Beer Star 2013, Europe’s largest beer competition, for its excellent quality of beers. Oud Beersel was awarded for its Bersalis Tripel silver in the category “Belgian-Style Tripel” and gold for the Oude Kriek Oud Beersel in the category “Belgian-Style Sour Ale Fruit”.

The European Beer Star is one of the most competitive beer competitions in the world. In 2004, in cooperation with the Association of Small and Independent Breweries in Europe, the European Beer Star Award was launched by the Private Brauereien. A total of 1,512 beers from 40 countries participated in the 2013 competition

Oud Beersel, anno 1882, by Gert Christiaens in order to protect in 2005. Revived traditional lambic beers. Recently, the Oude Geuze Oud Beersel was crowned as “Champion International Beer” at the Australian International Beer Awards, the best beer all around the world.
