Faro

Oud Beersel Faro is a traditional Lambic beer.

It is produced by the adding candi sugar to a select blend of our Oude Lambiek. In the case of our Oude Faro, the candi sugar is added months prior to packaging, allowing the yeast of our Lambic to slowly ferment the candi sugar until the Faro is no longer sweet.

The finished product features a brown colour, a touch of caramelized character and a thirst-quenching acidic finish.

Serve at: 8°C – 12°C

Alc.: 6,5% ABV

Aroma: hints of acidity with interplay between the Lambics used and the fermented candi sugar.
Flavor: pronounced Lambic character and a touch of candi sugar in the background; quite dry and refreshing with a sharp acidity in the finish.
Shelf life: 15 months
